| Route Information | | Sail to the Great Land, roundtrip from the Emerald City. A Seattle Roundtrip route departs weekly through the wondrous Inside Passage, beginning and ending in Seattle, Washington. Enjoy opportunities to explore a selection of ports of call including Victoria, Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Sitka, Tracy Arm, Misty Fjords, Glacier Bay or Sawyer Glacier. | | Cruise Portion | | Seattle, Washington, USA | | Situated on Puget Sound, Seattle's lush vegetation has earned it the nickname the "Emerald City." The futuristic Space Needle offers a 360-degree view of the city's skyline, Puget Sound and Mt. Rainier. At Pike Place Market you can shop for handcrafted clothes and jewelry, and enjoy the amazing variety of flowers, famous fish markets and more. | | ...read more about Seattle, Washington, USA | | Juneau, Alaska | | Accessible only by air or sea, Alaska's capital is surprisingly urban and cultured for such a remote destination. When you arrive by sea, you will be greeted dockside by numerous flags and an abundance of summer flowers. For further insight into the Inuit culture and crafts, visit the museum. Take the short drive to Mendenhall Glacier, the only glacier inside city limits! Take a helicopter ride for an amazing aerial view of Juneau and area, or go fishing for silver salmon. Then, just kick back and relax with a cool one at the famous and colorful Red Dog Saloon. | | ...read more about Juneau, Alaska | | Skagway, Alaska | | Skagway was born during the great Klondike gold rush. Those were the days when Skagway had 80 saloons and was known as "the roughest town on earth". The city's rip-roaring past will come alive when you walk down Broadway, a main street so authentic it is part of the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park! | | ...read more about Skagway, Alaska | | Glacier Bay, Alaska | Preserved as a National Monument, Glacier Bay exists as an extraordinary collection of glaciers in a contained region. Only two ships per day are permitted to enter the bay during the summer months, which is when whales come here to feed. Hundreds of years ago, the ice in Glacier Bay fell as snow on the icefields in the mountains above.
Compressed by its own tremendous weight, the ice slowly flows through valleys to the sea, where in some cases, it breaks off in great chunks, called "calves", to float free as icebergs and "bergy bits". | | ...read more about Glacier Bay, Alaska | | Ketchikan, Alaska | | Ketchikan is the salmon capital of the world. The canneries are busy and the stream below Creek Street's rustic boardwalk bustles with life. Visit the ancient grove of Totem Bight, the largest collection of authentic totem poles anywhere. Make a flight to nearby Misty Fjords--a breathtaking vista of Alaska's unspoiled wilderness and America's newest national monument; or try a little salmon fishing. | | ...read more about Ketchikan, Alaska | | Victoria, British Columbia | | Prim and proper with a mix of stately buildings and English traditions, Victoria is like a breath of fresh air. Its British heritage is apparent in double-decker buses, the Royal British Columbia Museum and High Tea at the Empress Hotel. Pay a visit to the renowned Butchart Gardens, where sunken floral beds reflect international themes. | | ...read more about Victoria, British Columbia | | Vancouver, British Columbia | In Vancouver, you never lose sight of the spectacular mountains or the glimmering sea. It is a prosperous city, with flowers adorning the streets and the lush greenery of Stanley Park, the third-largest urban park in the world, beckoning to travellers and locals alike. Museums offer fine collections of dramatic Northwest Native arts. Vancouver's Chinatown is the second largest in the world. Gastown, the waterfront district, recalls the city's colorful past as a premier port since the days of the Clipper ships.
Come see the natural beauties of Vancouver, which captured the prestigous title of the 2010 Winter Olympics' Host City. | | ...read more about Vancouver, British Columbia |

Norwegian Cruise Line Kid's Programs
|
NCL's Kid's CrewTM is a program of things to do, places to go and kids to meet. It's like recess, only longer. Sleep-away camp, only better. Because your children won't get homesick, but they also won't get underfoot. You can enjoy a massage while they're on a treasure hunt. Play roulette while they're camping out, or head for the Chocoholic BuffetTM while they're having a pillow fight at a pajama party.
Every minute they spend in Kid's CrewTM is carefully supervised by NCL's staff of youth counselors from leading universities and organizations. Prior to coming aboard, they attend a special training course on team and confidence building, communication skills, safety and working with children who have special needs. Together they've come up with an impressive bag of tricks for your kids.
There are circuses, crafts, parades, sports, games, stories and parties. Campouts with flashlights and tents, and cooking classes where they can make pizza or pancakes with funny faces. There is T-shirt painting, face painting and poolside root beer floats. Treasure hunts and sand castle competitions on NCL's private island. And even shore excursions designed just for families.
Activities are organized according to age group, as follows:
Junior Sailors (ages 2-5) - Activities for Junior Sailors are now available year-round. Junior Sailors are amused by storytelling, T-shirt painting, arts and crafts, face painting, magic shows, and Circus at Sea. Outdoor and indoor games provide endless hours of fun.
First Mates (ages 6-8) - Onboard NCL, First Mates participate in wacky cooking classes, decorative T-shirt painting, sing-alongs, and poolside root beer float parties. The "Kid's CrewTM Program" program also coordinates on-shore activities including a treasure hunt and sandcastle building competition on NCL’s private island.
Navigators (ages 9-12) - Navigators test their skill at Sega and video games, and search for treasures on scavenger hunts. Evenings are filled with pajama parties, movies, and camp-outs with flashlights and tents.
Teens (ages 13-17) - NCL entertains Teens throughout the daytime and into the evening. By day, Teens enjoy pool parties, volleyball and basketball, The Newlymet Game, and trivia contests. Evenings are filled with NCL’s Broadway-style shows and spectaculars, line dancing, teen disco, and special theme parties.
An exceptionally qualified staff of trained counselors run NCL’s "Kid's CrewTM Program" program in a safe and secure environment. Norwegian Cruise Line Cruiseline Review
|
Freestyle Cruising. Norwegian Cruise Line continues to pioneer the modern cruise experience in 2007, most notably with its exclusive Freestyle Cruising concept. NCL debuted this revolutionary onboard experience 4 years ago to rave reviews.
Freestyle Cruising denotes a number of added features, quite uncommon for the traditional cruise, which provides for more of the relaxed lifestyle of a fine resort: open-seating dining, with a nightly choice of numerous specialty restaurants all open from 5pm to midnight, resort casual attire and optional formal nights, late & relaxed check-out and disembarkation, additional staff and improved personal service, and much, much more! No other cruise line offers such a bold, new attempt at removing the old-fashioned structure of the traditional cruise, while maintaining the quality and integrity of the classic cruise experience.
