Headquartered at historic Fishermen's Terminal in Seattle, Washington, Un-Cruise Adventures offers an alternative to traditional cruises by taking guests into areas inaccessible to large ships and on excursions that are exclusive, private, and unavailable to most other travelers.
In 1997, American Safari Cruises pioneered yacht cruising in Alaska. InnerSea Discoveries enjoyed its inaugural season of expedition-style active exploration of Southeast Alaska's Inside Passage in summer 2011. In January 2013, the company changed its name to Un-Cruise Adventures.
Un-Cruise Adventures offers several styles to choose from: Active Adventures; Luxury Adventures; Heritage Adventures; and Charter Adventures - each designed to provide a unique experience. Wildlife is eye-to-eye, culture is one-on-one, and small-group explorations are life-changing.
Active Adventures are launched from three expedition vessels: 60-guest Wilderness Adventurer; 76-guest Wilderness Discoverer; and 76-guest Wilderness Explorer. Destinations include Southeast Alaska.
Luxury Adventures are operated aboard four of upscale yachts: 22-guest Safari Quest; 36-guest Safari Explorer; 64-guest Safari Voyager; and 86-guest Safari Endeavour. Destinations include Southeast Alaska, Columbia & Snake Rivers, Coastal Washington & British Columbia, Mexico's Sea of Cortes, and Hawaiian Islands.
Heritage Adventures operate from the 88-guest Safari Legacy, a replica Victorian-style steamer. Destinations include Southeast Alaska and Columbia and Snake Rivers.
Charter Adventures provide private exploration for your exclusive group or special occasion on any of our Un-Cruise explorations.
With the exception of our smaller yachts and the S.S. Legacy, kids age 6+ are welcome on any departure. Families with kids younger than 12 might prefer one of our 'Kids in Nature' departures, a highly popular program geared towards entertaining and educating kids of all ages. Children under 12 save 25%* on select departures, and KIN savings apply to select staterooms aboard our upscale yachts, and any cabin aboard our expedition vessels.
*KIN savings is not combinable with other special offers.
Passengers are not permitted to bring hard alcohol onboard as spirits are strictly prohibited and will be confiscated by vessel crew. This is due to our license and state regulations.
Bringing wine on board is permitted under our license, however may be subject to a corkage fee of $20.00 for 750ml and $30.00 for boxes and magnums. Crew will continue to control consumption as needed, including confiscation of wine when required.
Aboard the S.S. Legacy, Safari Endeavour, Safari Explorer, Safari Quest, and La Pinta, premium spirits, wine, and beer are included in your fare.
Aboard the Wilderness Adventurer, Wilderness Discoverer, and Wilderness Explorer, alcoholic beverages range from $4 to $8, with top shelf brands running slightly higher.
Gratuities are a personal matter and are entirely at the discretion of the traveler. Gratuities are shared equally by all crew members. Payment for gratuities can be made with cash, checks, travelers checks, and credit cards. Recommended amounts are available on request.
Massage gratuity is not customary on our vessels and when received it is included in the tip pool.
Our lifestyle emphasizes both adventure and comfort, so pack your favorite casual clothes and enjoy the adventure. Daytime or evening, our atmosphere is relaxed. All meals are casual and feature open seating and there is no need to dress up at any time; simply wear what's comfortable, even for the Captain's Farewell Dinner!
