Royal Caribbean International offers a stunningly deluxe cruise experience while at the same time displaying a very active and casual style. Featuring the largest and most amenity-filled ships on earth, the amenities you will find onboard ship are stunningly elaborate and not found anywhere else nor on any other cruise line. Add to this the dynamic and name-brand entertainment, and you have the best mix of high quality deluxe features and a relaxed and accessible onboard atmosphere.
Despite their renowned namesake, Royal Caribbean also visits Alaska each year! For 2019, they are returning two of their most popular ships: most excitingly, the modern Ovation of the Seas is arriving from Asia for the very first time to operate weekly voyages from Seattle; and for a return engagement is Radiance of the Seas who offers one-way, one week cruises between Vancouver, BC and Seward, AK (or reverse). Radiance of the Seas also allows passengers to add on a fascinating wilderness trek into the interior for additional days and nights in order to see so much more of The Great Land of Alaska.
For the best in cruising excitement and onboard amenities, including multiple and high quality dining choices, Come Seek The Royal Caribbean in 2019 – for this is not just any cruise! Ask us about the most incredible features unique to Ovation of the Seas especially, and never seen before in Alaska – the North Star (a jewel-shaped capsule that extends far above and beyond the ship, providing 360 degree views) and RipCord by iFly (an enclosed skydiving simulator).
Particularly applicable to multi-generational families and groups, Royal Caribbean also offers a fully supervised and included kids & teens program on their ships, and is the only major cruise line (other than Disney Cruises) to offer a nursery onboard and activities for those as young as 6 months of age. But of course all ages will also be impressed by the famed and scenic Inside Passage and wonderous ports and glaciers of Alaska. And you might also choose Royal Caribbean for Alaska for their notable cruise ship hardware: you’ll discover that these two ships are built almost entirely of glass, so they are perfectly appropriate for accessing the stunning beauty of Alaska, both indoors and out on deck.

Royal Caribbean is the only cruise line that offers up to seven age categories in their Youth Program. The Adventure Ocean program separate kids into the following age brackets:
This ensures that the 17 year old soon-to-be adults are doing activities they find interesting and aren’t stuck doing what 13 year old kids would enjoy. With the exception of the babysitting service, all activities and children’s programs are free.
Parents can drop off younger children at the Babies and Tots Nursery in the care of trained professionals. For a nominal fee, babysitting service is available in a group setting or individually in parents` stateroom. Children must be at least one year old.
Passengers ages 20 years or younger are not permitted to consume or purchase alcohol onboard. Guests 21 years or older may bring personal wine and champagne onboard on the day of embarkation, limited to two (2) 750 ml bottles per stateroom to be enjoyed in the privacy of the stateroom. A $25 corkage fee is charged when consumed in any public area.
Alcohol purchased at port or from onboard shops are stored by the ship and delivered to guest staterooms on the last day of sailing. Royal Caribbean reserves the right to inspect containers and will dispose containers holding alcohol. Guests under 21 years old will not have alcohol returned to them.
In accordance with the cruise line’s Guest Conduct Policy, violation of the alcohol policy may result in disembarkation or denied boarding at the passenger’s expense.
Guests must comply with TSA guidelines for transporting liquids. Royal Caribbean reserves the right to revoke or restrict drinking privileges to any guest, regardless of age.
The automatic service gratuity is $14.50 USD per person, per day for guests in Junior Suites and below, or $17.50 USD per person, per day for guests in Grand Suites and above, applied to each guest’s SeaPass account on a daily basis. The gratuity applies to individual guests of all ages and stateroom categories. As a way to reward our crew members for their outstanding service, gratuities are shared among dining, bar & culinary services staff, stateroom attendants and other hotel services teams who work behind the scenes to enhance the cruise experience.
In the unlikely event that a guest onboard being charged the daily automatic gratuity does not receive satisfactory service, the guest may request to modify the daily amount at their discretion by visiting Guest Services onboard and will be able to do so until the morning of their departure. Guests who have pre-paid their gratuity will not see a daily charge during their cruise.
The automatic daily gratuity is based on customary industry standards. Applying this charge automatically helps streamline the recognition process for the crew members that work to enhance your cruise. We hope you find the gratuity to be an accurate reflection of your satisfaction and thank you for your generous recognition of our staff.
A 18% gratuity is automatically added to all beverages, mini bar items, and spa & salon purchases.
Guests can pre-pay gratuities by calling 866-562-7625 or logging into www.royalcaribbean.com before* their sailing. For guests booked through travel advisors, their advisor may add pre-paid gratuities to the guests' booking prior to sailing*. If gratuities are not prepaid prior to sailing, they will be automatically added to the guests’ folios once onboard.
*Pre-paid gratuities can be added to an individual reservation at any time outside of 48 hours of the sail date.
